Imagine Communications Introduces Nexio Ingest Suite

Integration with Nexio® Studio Suite enables efficient workflows in live production environments

DALLAS, Sept. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Imagine Communications, a market leader of media software and video infrastructure solutions serving the global broadcast, multichannel video programming distributor and enterprise markets, today announced the introduction of Nexio Ingest Suite, a set of flexible software tools for managing content ingest and storage. When integrated with Imagine Communications' innovative Nexio Studio Suite and market-leading Nexio video servers, the application enables users to more easily manage video assets that have been ingested and utilize them for live and studio-based production environments.

Media companies want to simplify their operations by ingesting video content into their facilities in a consistent and easy manner, but this often requires multiple systems to perform basic ingest and review tasks. Nexio Ingest Suite provides compelling tools to enable simplified baseband and file-based ingest as well as uploading material from XDCAM/P2 products, all from a single user interface. Based on standard IT architectures, customers can run the program on existing hardware, avoiding expensive technology investments.

"Nexio Ingest Suite and Nexio Studio Suite allow customers to efficiently manage the ingest and storage of content throughout their facilities," said Huw Dymond, Product Line Manager at Imagine Communications. "Nexio Ingest Suite lets customers be more dynamic in their operations, such as file-based browsing and stitching services, dragging and dropping jobs throughout the timeline, amending or altering ingest, or scheduling recurring events. Unlike other options in the marketplace, we combine these key ingest and studio functions in a simplified user interface, enabling centralized video and metadata management as well as a seamless transition between legacy and next-generation software-based toolsets."

Providing improved interoperability in live production environments, Nexio Ingest Suite and Nexio Studio Suite address workflow challenges with a common and easy to deploy combined toolset that transparently integrates with Nexio servers. These toolsets are compelling for customers looking to add file-based ingest to an existing system, or to expand their existing baseband toolsets with more advanced features.

Nexio Ingest Suite and Nexio Studio Suite will be demonstrated at IBC2014.  For more information and for a live demonstration of these offerings, visit Imagine Communications' booth at IBC in Amsterdam at Stand 7.G20.
